Inside Out Dog Daycare, Training, and Grooming FAQ

  • Inside Out Dog Daycare offers daycare, boarding, grooming, training, dog sports, events, workshops, and enrichment opportunities for dogs and their people. Our goal is to provide a safe, structured, and fun environment where dogs can learn, play, and build confidence.

  • Dogs may be dropped off on weekdays starting at 7:00 AM. Weekend drop-off begins at 10:00 AM.

All dogs must be picked up by 6:30 PM. Dogs not picked up by 6:30 PM may be automatically enrolled in boarding and charged accordingly. Dogs may not be picked up after 6:30 PM under any circumstance.

  • Yes. Dogs must complete a trial day before being approved for daycare or boarding services. This gives us a chance to evaluate whether our environment is a safe and appropriate fit for your dog.

Please understand that not every dog is suited for group daycare or boarding in our facility. We reject approximately 30% of dogs who try out for daycare and boarding services. This does not mean they are a bad dog. It simply means that our setup may not be the right fit for their needs, stress level, play style, or safety.

If your dog is not approved, we may recommend other options such as training, private services, or trying again later if circumstances change.

  • Yes. Inside Out Dog Daycare offers grooming services with a groomer who has 30 years of experience.

Grooming can be added on to daycare or boarding, or scheduled as an individual appointment.

Dogs who have completed and passed their temperament test receive free daycare with their grooming appointment.

Dogs who are not daycare-approved are still welcome for grooming appointments, but they do not interact with other dogs in any capacity. They are kept in a separate area of the building to ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.

  • Yes. Dogs must be up to date on required vaccines to attend daycare, boarding, grooming, training, events, or enter the building.

    Required vaccines may include:

    Rabies
    Bordetella
    DHLPP

Proof of current vaccination is required. For certain outdoor activities, such as dock diving, rabies is required to participate. If your dog needs to enter the building for any reason, including check-in, bathroom breaks, or water, Bordetella and DHLPP are also required.

  • Male dogs over 1 year old must be neutered to attend daycare. Exemptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis, so please call us if you have extenuating circumstances.

Intact male dogs may be temporarily restricted from daycare and invited to complete another trial day after they have been neutered.

Female dogs do not need to be spayed to attend daycare. However, female dogs may not attend daycare while in heat, while showing signs that they may be going into heat, or for two weeks after their heat cycle has ended.

If Inside Out Dog Daycare determines that a dog may be going into heat or may still be in heat, the dog will be sent home.

  • No. Our daycare is structured with safety, supervision, and appropriate dog interactions in mind. We aim to create a healthy environment, not a free-for-all. Dogs are monitored and managed throughout the day to help keep play appropriate and reduce stress.

  • Maybe. It depends on the dog, the service, and the situation. Some dogs who are nervous or reactive may not be suited for group daycare but may still benefit from training, private work, enrichment, or carefully managed activities.

We are happy to talk through options and help determine what may be appropriate.

  • Yes. Inside Out Dog Daycare is locally owned and operated. We are a true mom-and-pop style business, not a corporate daycare chain.

Inside Out was built by one man with a dream of creating a healthier version of dog daycare. Our goal has never been to pack in as many dogs as possible. We care about building a safe, thoughtful, structured environment where dogs can play, learn, rest, and be treated like individuals.
